The needs of users are widely diverse, and so are the solutions that we can use. This session will present broad range of video applications used in R&E covering both: daily operation and very specific needs. Flexible solutions based on WebRTC are changing the view on easily usable real-time video communication using browser and webcam. On the other side low latency and very high quality transmission systems are allowing new applications like distributed cultural events (concerts, music&dance), surgical consultations and remotely driven visualizations that could be presented on large tiled displays.
