Identity is a foundational enabler for accessing online resources and
the NREN community has been at the forefront of developing and providing
federated access for more than a decade. During this period, the
landscape has shifted dramatically; technology has evolved, policies
have tightened, and expectations around how digital identities and user
information are shared have changed.
Today, academic identity solutions increasingly intersect with
commercial managed services creating both opportunities and
uncertainties. Which raises the question - where do we go next? What
are the new developments in the T&I services in our community? What
challenges lie ahead? And how do we ensure our T&I services remain
innovative, trusted, and sustainable?
